Academy Updates

Greater Trail Getting Ready to Host Youth Sport Leaders
The BC Olympic & Paralympic Youth Leadership Academy will be held in Greater Trail in conjunction with the 2006 BC Winter Games.    And, the host committee for the 2006 Academy has an exciting agenda planned for the soon-to-be selected delegates.

The Evolution of the Academy
The BC Olympic & Paralympic Youth Leadership Academy was established in 1999 to demonstrate to BC youth that, not unlike Olympic and Paralympic athletes, any goal is attainable through hard work and perseverance.    In 2006, the Partners are looking to build upon past successes.

The New Academy Logo
The Partners of the BC Olympic & Paralympic Youth Leadership Academy are pleased to unveil a new logo for the Academy. Designed by Myron Balagno & Associates, the new look captures the spirit of British Columbia and the promise of its young leaders.

 

 
Alumni Updates

2001 Alumni Teryn Buna and her Olympic Experiences

Teryn Buna from Kelowna attended the 2001 BC Olympic & Paralympic Youth Leadership Academy in Abbotsford.  However, that was just the first step of many opportunities that have included a trip to Prague for the announcement awarding the 2010 Winter Games and then to Athens for the 2004 Olympic Youth Camp.
