The BC Sports Hall of Fame will induct two outstanding BC Games alumni as part of their 2011 class at the gala Banquet of Champions on September 13, 2011.
2010 Olympic gold medalist, Maelle Ricker, attended the BC Summer Games in the sport of athletics in 1992 and 1993. Maelle remembers her experience ath the BC Games and said "It was fantastic meeting so many other athletes, making friends and really enjoying sport."
Also inducted is Brent Seabrook who was part of Canada's men's gold medal winning hockey team at the 2010 Olympic Games. Brent, a current member of the Chicago Blackhawks, is from Delta and attended the BC Winter Games in 2000.
The BC Games Society is proud to count Maelle and Brent as part of a very distinguished group of BC Games alumni. Their induction to the BC Sports Hall of Fame is a tremendous accomplishment and recognizes their place in BC sports history.
