External Sport Credits may be available for athletes who participate in an ongoing training program that enables them to qualify for and/or participate in the BC Summer or BC Winter Games. 

Credit is available for sports which have been approved by the Ministry of Education and as detailed on their website. The Sport Branch of the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development has worked with Provincial Sport Organizations to identify what competition/selections athletes will receive credit for.

BC Games Participants whose sport is eligible for Athlete 10 External Sport Credentials must contact their Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) to verify participation in the BC Games and an ongoing training program.  The PSO will provide a verification letter which must be presented to the school counsellor to obtain the credit.
