40th Anniversary Celebrations
The BC Games Society was created by former premier Bill Bennett who believed in providing “an opportunity to bring all parts of BC together, large and small communities, in the spirit of sport and friendship”.  Since 1978, the BC Winter and BC Summer Games have been held in 38 communities an involved over 350,000 participants and volunteers.

2018 marked the 40th anniversary of the BC Games.  It was an important opportunity to remember the past, to recognize successes and contributors, and to renew friendships and commitment of the importance of the BC Games for our province.

To celebrate this milestone, over 500 past participants, volunteers, and supporters joined us at community celebrations held in six past BC Games host communities.
