Cowichan 2018 BC Summer Games Volunteers

  Meet Some of Our Volunteers

Volunteer Update -April 2018

The countdown to mark the start of the Cowichan 2018 BC Summer Games is officially on, and we’re extremely grateful to have you join us as a Games Volunteer! To keep you informed on what’s happening and let you know about some exciting events we have coming up, we’ve put together this update.

“Celebrate the Value of Volunteering–building confidence, competence, connections and community”.

Have you heard from us?

Right now our Volunteer Management Chairs (who are also volunteers) are working hard at contacting all registered volunteers to discuss job selection and assignments to Directorates (the area you will work in). Volunteer Management Chairs are sending out emails and phone calls, and if you haven’t heard from us yet, you will soon!

Connect with us on FACEBOOK

As the Cowichan 2018 BC Summer Games quickly approaches, we want to rally support and share the excitement of volunteering with us. To cultivate that sense of teamwork and community connection we have launched a Facebook group. This group will help connect our volunteer team, and is a forum to pose volunteer questions and learn about upcoming events.
Finding the group is super easy. Create or log into your Facebook account, and searchCowichan BC Games Volunteers. Click on the button that says, ‘request to join’. You will receive a notification once approved by the administrator letting you know you have been added to the group. We look forward to seeing you in the group!

Pre-Games Volunteering

If you have spare time now, we would love to have you join our pre-Games team! Our pre-Games team is set up to assist with a variety of jobs and tasks at different events. If you would like to be contacted about joining this fun team, please email us
