Our Games - February 22-25, 2018

Join us on February 22-25, 2018 as Kamloops welcomes the BC Winter Games to our community!  The BC Winter Games bring together British Columbia's best emerging high performance athletes, trained coaches, and certified officials for four days of competition.  This experience is an important development opportunity and stepping stone towards higher level sport competitions.

The BC Winter Games are a milestone event that people count as an experience of a lifetime where memories, friendships, spirit, and pride are abundant! 

Kamloops has successfully hosted hundreds of Provincial, Western Canadian, National, and International events in the past 20 years, which have included multiple sports.  Each year we draw thousands of spectators, sporting participants and officials to enjoy our world class sports facilities including, 1993 Canada Summer Games, 1995 Canadian Hockey League Memorial Cup, 2006 BC Summer Games, 2015 BC Special Olympics Winter Games, 2016 IIHF Women's World Hockey Championships to name a few.​ Last year, Kamloops hosted 102 tournaments, cultural events and sport-related conferences, attracting more than 30,000 participants to town.

The Games will include participants from across BC in 19 sports, 247 officials, 1519 athletes, 382 coaches, for a total of 2148 participants; locations - 11 facilities in Kamloops, Stake Lake stadium and Sun Peaks Resort.
