Vancouver Island – Central Coast swimmer Cailyn Collis add to medal haul
Cailyn Collis from Campbell River teamed up with three girls all out of the Victoria area to win silver in the 200 meter freestyle relay. Anya Pasemko was first to respond when asked how it felt to take home the silver today “we had a good race but are a bit disappointed we didn’t win gold, it was such a close race”. Team mate Sophie Peters added that she is “sad the games have to end”, Kyla Ross said “it was a great experience meeting everyone from different teams”. Although three of the girls on the relay team come from the Victoria area, they all compete on different teams throughout the year, coming together for the games sounded like it was one of the best part of the games experience.
