CN makes donation to Dr. REM Lee Hospital Foundation

TERRACE, March 5, 2010 — CN announced today that it has donated $15,000 to the Dr. R.E.M Lee Hospital Foundation to help purchase an infant and pediatric ventilator for the Mills Memorial Hospital in Terrace.

“CN is pleased to support the Foundation as part of our commitment to help provide a healthier and safer environment for our youth," said Kevin Mau, Assistant Superintendent for CN’s BC Mountain Region. "With close to 500 employees in northern BC, CN understands that community investments like this one will benefit children in Terrace and throughout the region.”

Mr. Mau made the announcement during a civic luncheon, celebrating the BC Winter Games, which are taking place in Terrace from March 4 to 7. CN, with the BC Games Society, is one of four corporate partners. As part of its sponsorship, CN is a patron Corporate Partner of the Key Volunteer Rally, an event that celebrated the exceptional commitment of the volunteers who have worked hard to make the Games a success.
 
“The success of the BC Winter Games is based on countless volunteers, community involvement and the support of great partners like CN," said Kelly Mann, President and CEO of the BC Games Society. “We’d like to thank CN for not only its support of the BC Winter Games, but for also making this donation."
