The Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women in Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS) annually publishes a list of the Most Influential Women in Sport to celebrate and highlight Canadian female leaders.

The 2013 list included 20 outstanding women from across Canada who have contributed to sport and physical activity in this country as well as internationally.

Three of these outstanding women have been involved with the BC Games.  Olympic medallist Caroly Huyhn was an athlete at the 1996 BC Summer Games.  Paralympian and MLA Michelle Stilwell coached wheelchair basketball at the BC Winter Games.  Finally, diving coach and administrator Bev Boys has been a valuable Provincial Advisor and Official at multiple BC Games.

Congratulations to all of the women recognized.
