BC Games Alumna named UNICEF Ambassador

As a young athlete growing up in Maple Ridge, Karina LeBlanc played soccer and basketball.  She attended the 1994 BC Summer Games in Kelowna for basketball but, eventually chose soccer as her passion.  She has pursued the sport to the highest level as part of the Canadian Women's National Team that won bronze at the 2012 Olympic Games.

Karina was named UNICEF Canada's newest ambassador and is UNICEF's first professional female footballer ambassador.
