Olivia Gran of Kelowna received the gold medal for her performance in the juvenile women’s competition late Saturday afternoon at the Mission Leisure Centre.

She had a flawless performance and received a score of 42.11. Vasilia Matantseva of Burnaby took the silver medal with a score of 34.26, and Emily Bausback of Vancouver settled for the bronze medal with a score of 33.59.

Gran is only 10 years old and been skating since age three.

“It’s really hard to describe how it feels, I’m just really happy, it’s good to get a personal best,” Gran said with a big smile on her face. Gran’s coach, Madison Lyon, is very proud of Olivia and their talented Kelowna skating club.
