Thompson-Okanagan earns two more golds

Marcus Athans from the Thompson-Okanagan (Zone 2) is a water skiing triple threat.


This is his third gold medal at the 2014 BC Summer Games and he He scored a 66.50 in boys 2 Slalom. Earlier he won in boys 2 trick skiing and jumping.

Halie Gainey, who is also from the Thompson-Okanagan, won the girls 2 Slalom. Gainey was the only girl that medaled.

Jake Metcalfe from Vancouver Island-Central Coast (Zone 6) is also a dangerous threat on the water.
He won his third silver of the games in the slalom event, with his other silvers coming in tricks and jumping. It was a tight race as he scored a 65.50.

With the bronze medal was Conner Batkin of the Fraser Valley’s (Zone 3)as he scored 61.00 points.
