In 2005, 2010 LegaciesNow, through funding from the Provincial Government, launched VolWeb.ca, an online volunteer recruitment and matching service.  The website was created to support and promote volunteerism leading up to and beyond the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.  After the Games, the 2010 LegaciesNow Society made an agreement to transfer ownership of the software and website to the BC Games Society, where it has since been managed and administered.

The site has grown considerably over the years, attracting both event organizers and volunteers interested in special event volunteering.  However, it has become apparent to the BC Games Society that VolWeb does not fit with the organization’s mandate, and based on this situation, the BC Games Society has decided to sell VolWeb.

The BC Games Society (BCGS) is requesting offers from qualified individuals/organizations to purchase and continue the intended operations (for a minimum of two years from the sales closing date) of VolWeb.ca.

For complete details, see the Request for Offer posted on BC Bid.

The closing date is February 20, 2015.
