With a 35 year history the BC Games has seen many changes.  While we honour our history and the thousands of people across BC who have been involved with the Games, it is fun now and then to take a quick peek at how we looked “back in the day.”

Quesnel

The start of the new millennium had the BC Games hosted in Quesnel and the happy little people on this cover were not concerned about Y2K.  These Games were the launching point for Olympian Julia Murray (Ski Cross) and NHL star and Olympic Gold Medallist Brent Seabrook (Hockey).

Nanaimo

The first of many BC Games to be hosted in Nanaimo the 1985 Games featured beautiful Maffeo Sutton Park on the cover of the souvenir program.  We are lucky to be heading back to the Harbour City for the 2014 BC Summer Games.

Prince George

The 1981 BC Winter Games in Prince George was the start of something big.  Now preparing to host the nation at the 2015 Canada Winter Games, Prince George will show everyone what northern BC has to offer!

Penticton
As the host of the very first BC Summer Games in 1978, Penticton has become a great sports hosting town known for hockey, curling and triathlon.  We are looking forward to heading back to Penticton for the 2016 BC Winter Games.
