North Vancouver’s one-metre divers took gold and silver Friday at the Games in Penticton.

Sadie Howard placed first in the girls one-metre dive, while Morgan Dalgarnl finished third.

“It feels good, I’m happy about it,” said Howard.  “I think I dove pretty well, and I’m happy with how I did.”

Dalgarnl was also very pleased with her medal, highlighting just how tough the competition was.

“I thought I dove really well, and the people in front of me also dove really well,” she said.  “I’m proud of my placing.”

Both girls will return to the pool for events today and Sunday.
