The Penticton 2016 BC Winter Games and PacificSport are inviting the public to join in a practical hands-on session with UBC Okanagan Human Kinetics professor Dr. Greg duManoir.

Discover some of the top foundational strength and conditioning exercises to develop strong, well-rounded athletes. This hands-on session will focus on proper technique, age appropriate exercises and best practices for cross training with little or no equipment.

Dr. Greg duManoir is a top notch instructor that captivates his audience and relates to his students. He completed his PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Western Ontario. Currently, he is a tenure track instructor at UBCO teaching in areas of exercise physiology, exercise prescription (intro and advanced training methodologies), anatomy and tissue injury and repair.

On top of being a professor, here are some area’s Greg’s interests have involved him:

— Sport Scientist for UBCO Varsity Women’s Volleyball Team; Head of Strength and Conditioning for Transcend Training Hockey Academy

— Co-host of Okanagan Strength and Conditioning Conference; Editor for Dan John’s Before We Go

— Chair of the Health and Fitness Society of BC, CSEP CEP/CPT Instructor/Examiner, FMS Level I, DNS A Sport I & Sport II.
