Spring is in the air and there is lots of activity on the go for BC Games and Team BC.  Host communities are busy planning, alumni continue to impress on various stages, and opportunities abound for learning and professional development.

 

Name our Games

Name our Games

To celebrate the return of the BC Games to Penticton, the Host Society is holding a “Name Our Games” contest.

This contest is seeking entries for a slogan or tagline that would ideally become associated with the Penticton 2016 BC Winter Games and used in promotional materials and possibly as the hashtag for social media. 

A short collection of words (no more than six words) which reflect the spirit of the BC Games and excitement around Penticton as the host of the 2016 BC Winter Games will create a sense community spirit and pride that we can rally behind as we plan and stage the Games.

Alumni honoured at Athlete of the Year

AOY 2015

BC Games and Team BC alumni were honored at the 49th annual Athlete of the Year Awards.  Eight BC Games alumni and seven Team BC alumni were selected as the winners of this year's awards in the various categories.

The KidSport Community Champion Award was presented to BC Games and Team BC alumna and Olympian, Kesley Serwa. 

The BC Games Society also recognized the President and Vice President of the Nanaimo 2014 BC Summer Games, Jeff Lott and Bruce Hunter as its President's Award recipients.

RFP Issued for Games Merchandiser

BC Games logo

The BC Games Society has issued a request for proposals for a merchandise contractor for the 2016 BC Winter and BC Summer Games.  The full RFP is posted on BC Bid and the deadline is April  30.
