August 2015

The Year of Sport continues on with the conclusion of the 2015 Pan Am Games and the start of the 2015 Parapan Am Games.  Team BC is in action at the 2015 Western Canada Summer Games in Wood Buffalo Alberta and we are counting down to 2016 when the BC Winter and BC Summer Games will again take centre stage.

365 Day Countdown to BC Summer Games

365 Countdown

To kickoff the countdown to the Games, the Abbotsford 2016 BC Summer Games Board hosted an event at Thunderbird Square on July 21 - exactly 365 days out from the 2016 BC Summer Games. The celebration included entertainment from local dancers and singers, messages from Mayor Braun, the President and Vice President of the local Games Board, and President and CEO of the BC Games Society, Kelly Mann.

See a great recap of the event from Abbtosford News Summer intern, Megan Lambert.  We look forward to seeing her volunteering next year!
