We are now days away from the start of the Mission 2014 BC Winter Games. This is the first time Mission has hosted the BC Games and volunteers are making final preparations to welcome the province.
Lists of all athletes, coaches, and officials are now available online and can be searched by sport and hometown.  Follow all the action and see the results on BCGAMES.ORG.

1800 Participants Registered

Are you Ready?

When the BC Winter Games kick off on February 20 over 1800 participants from every corner of the province will be ready for four action-packed days. With competition in 18 different sports, 1344 athletes will be supported by 346 coaches and 156 officials. “The future of sport in B.C. is coming to Mission and we are looking forward to seeing these young athletes compete to the best of their ability,” said Kelly Mann, President and CEO of the BC Games Society.

Stresses to Successes

President and VP

2014 BC Winter Games President Brian Antonson and Vice President Pam Alexis were both well known in Mission for their amazing community spirit before they took on their roles to lead a team of volunteers to plan and stage one of the largest events ever held in their community. “This is the best and biggest event Mission will ever see.  How could anyone not want to be a part of that?” said Alexis. It has been over 18 months and hundreds of hours of planning but, the community is ready. Antonson said, “Now it’s up to the community to share in that joy.  Let the Games begin.”
