2018 BC Winter Games Board Announced

Canada’s Tournament Capital has assembled a group of community leaders to develop the vision and policies for the 2018 BC Winter Games.

“Our Board of Directors have the leadership and experience to create an outstanding Games for the 2,150 planned participants,” Niki Remesz, 2018 BC Winter Games President explains. “Our Directors are skilled leaders who have stepped up to volunteer their time to create an outstanding experience."

As we begin a new year, we are excited to join with Canadians across the country to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary.  The BC Games and Team BC believe that sport is part of what it means to be Canadian and we are proud to have been an important part of celebrating sport, communities, and Canada for close to 40 years.

 

Curling Alumni at Canadians

Curling alumni

The Canadian Junior Curling Championships get underway in Victoria on January 21. All eight curlers representing British Columbia are BC Games alumni and five have competed at both the BC Games and for Team BC at the Canada Games.  Best of luck to Team Tardi and Team Brown!

 
 

RBC Training Ground

RBC Training Ground

RBC Training Ground local qualifiers are set to take place across British Columbia in early 2017, in the hopes of finding Canada’s next great Olympic athletes.  RBC Training Ground is a program designed to help sport officials uncover athletes with Olympic podium potential, in sports they may not have considered.

Burnaby, February 5
Kamloops, February 12
