May 2016

Things are gearing up for a busy summer season with the BC Summer Games in Abbotsford now less than 80 days away.  We are also looking forward to  watching our BC Games and Team BC alumni as Team Canada prepares for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games.

2016 BC Summer Games Countdown

Abbotsford Torch Bearers

A trio of local athletes made the final steps in the BC Summer Games path to Abbotsford to help officially start the countdown to the Games.  Bateman basketball champion Jayden Gill, Abbotsford Senior rugby star Tausani Levale, and Special Olympian Todd Moore carried the torch into Thunderbird Plaza, and moments later the 100-day countdown was officially on as the Games torch was lit up in front of hundreds.  The moment capped off a night full of performances, speeches from dignitaries, and general excitement for the Games.
