May 2015

Planning for the 2016 BC Games is in full swing!  This month, Penticton is hosting the BC Winter Games Provincial Sport Organization representatives along with a rally for the Games Key Volunteers.  The Abbotsford 2016 BC Summer Games Board of Directors is now in place and have completed their Games & Guidelines session with BC Games Society staff.

Abbotsford Games & Guidelines

Games and Guidelines

The Board of Directors for the 2016 BC Summer Games were announced in April.  This team of 16 dedicated community volunteers will lead the planning and organization of the Games to be held July 21-24, 2016.

The kick-off to the planning process is a Games and Guidelines session delivered by BC Games staff where the volunteers were introduced to what the Games will look like and the journey they will take to get there.  Board members were also provided with valuable resources including tasks, timelines, and samples to help them through the planning and staging of the Games.
