Community Sport Workshops in celebration of BC Winter Games February 25 – 28, 2016!
Pre-registration required for all workshops. Registration will be at the community centre reception but workshops will all be held at Princess Margaret School library auditorium.

Tips & Tools for Parenting Your Developing Athlete

Parenting an athlete can be a challenge. Come check out the tips and tools our experts practice to parent their athletes. Topics include:

·        Emotional Support (i.e. what to say after a loss)
·        When to start training your athlete/child for competitive sport

Foundational Movement Skills for all sports
Join us and discover some of the top strength and conditioning exercises to develop strong, well-rounded athletes. This hand on session will focus on proper technique, age appropriate exercises, and best practices for cross training with little or no equipment.

Athletic Taping Course

This 8 hour course is led by a Certified Athletic Therapist. Athletic Taping techniques are introduced in a combination of lecture and practical components. This course is designed as an introduction to taping. Safety considerations and theory are covered, followed by taping techniques and relevant anatomy for injuries related to the foot, ankle, knee, hip, elbow, wrist, thumb and fingers. This course is an excellent baseline for any individual looking to assist athletes with injury prevention, management, and support during return-to-play following injury.
